The first lesson with me is free and no-obligation.  I expect any prospective student to ask some questions and see what I'm like in person before making any decision.  All of my lessons are "open door" and I encourage parents, grandparents, and/or siblings to sit in on any lesson and see the progress the student is making.  I have a list of references available on request.

Thinking about buying a guitar?  Before you make a purchase, please read this ARTICLE.

Make sure you have these items to be prepared for your first lesson:

  1. 1) A three-ring binder or folder to organize materials.

  2. 2) A guitar tuner (I suggest the Korg GA-30 or something similar).

  3. 3) A metronome to help develop rhythm (I suggest the Korg MA-30).

  4. 4) If you don't have either a tuner or a metronome, get a Korg TM-40 and save a little money.

  5. 5) I prefer to send lesson notes via email.  Students who do not have access to email must bring their three ring-binder to every lesson.

  6. 6) A guitar or bass method.  I prefer to use www.FinaleGuitar.com.  Click HERE to learn more about FinaleGuitar.com.

Please contact me if you have any questions.
