Hello and welcome to my site!

Click on the links above to learn more about lessons or read on and find out a little more about me.

Check out this video to see the benefits of learning a musical instrument.

I have over twenty years experience in private instruction and musical performance.  I started giving bass lessons while attending the University of Mary in 1995 and started teaching guitar in 2001.  I received a bachelors degree in music education and completed North Dakota teacher certification in 1999.  My focus is on Guitar Pro aided learning for guitar, bass, and ukulele students.

I have been active in the Bismarck / Mandan area as a performer, composer, arranger, studio musician, and educator. I was a featured bassist at the 2003, 2011, and 2013 University of Mary Jazz Festivals and I’ve had the good fortune to share the stage with some of the best musicians in the country.  In the Chicago area, I performed with rock band “Joe Rockhead” and recorded with jazz guitarist Hunter Prendergast.  In the Bismarck-Mandan area, I have performed and recorded with Mother Blues and the Mojo Band, Joe Friday, Nu-Voyce, Dennis Connelly, the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, RIFT, Less Than X, FatDad, the Great Plains Jazz Society’s All-Star Big Band, Michael Land, the BisMan Jazz Collective, Fully Loaded, Choice Of Potato, Rock Rodeo, and at various fill-in performances as a flat-rate, short-term bassist.

A special thanks goes out to Eckroth Music for maintaining a list of area teachers.
